Crafting at the museum: Dry point Intaglio

October 9 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Artist Benny Semp will introduce you to the process of dry point printing techniques – an intaglio process where a drawing is scratched into a printing surface with a pointed tool. The print then reveals the beauty of the drawing.

Intaglio is a form of design/decoration used in the glass trade. The effect is achieved by cutting away the glass to form the shape of the design, or by pressing the molten glass into a mold.

The workshop is designed to encourage creative approaches to observational drawing, and to explore art making through the processes of illustration.

Tickets are £10. Museum entry is included in your workshop ticket. Tea and coffee is included.

Tools, materials and equipment are provided. Places are limited and tickets must be pre-booked. Tickets are non refundable unless cancelled by Stourbridge Glass Museum.
