Did you know the museum has hidden tunnels? They lie beneath what was once the White House cone, at the heart of the region’s roots – the glass industry. Like the Red Cone, the White Cone would have been an imposing glass furnace on the landscape. Over the centuries, the tunnels were the route for coal and new glass which was transported by canal to the Bonded Warehouse. It was even converted into an air raid shelter during the Second World War.
Tickets are £6 (plus Eventbrite admin fee) and include entry to the museum.
